Khedira latest....
Reports from Spain indicate that Real Madrid  are looking to offload Khedira.
Arsenal are very  interested -but wage demands seem to be the problem so far.
Arsenal need Khedira. He could make a big difference to Arsenal this season.
A waiting game? Yep..............but my guess is that Khedira will be an Arsenal player in this transfer window.

  1. To start I would like to say I think Khedira is a good midfielder and signing him would be a statement of sorts, however he is not the answer to Arsenals needs.

Arsenal require a Defensive Midfielder, a battling ball winner, who can help protect the back 4.

Khedira is not that man. He has played approx 90 league games in 4 years for Real Madrid, starting 70. In fact he has never played more then 28 league games in a single season in his career. He clearly has fitness issues.

I would rather see Schneiderlin or the younger option Carvalho come in.

Also I don't understand the fascination with him, pre World Cup no one mentioned and or cared about Khedira but now hes talked about as this monster midfielder Arsenal "Really" need.

I would not go as far to say it would be a mistake in signing him but I don't think it addresses the issues at hand within the Arsenal squad.

  2. Thank you Paul, and its fair comment. I do not disagree with most of your views.
However, I think that the Arsenal squad is not far away from a serious challenge to win the Premier League, and I think Khedira would give Arsenal a dominating, creative midfield with options for Wenger. Having said that, I agree that a quality player to protect the back four is also needed.

  3. It has been reported that Wenger is concerned about two aspects of signing Khedira. Wages, and history of injuries for Khedira.
A waiting game? probably -but I still think Khedira will be an Arsenal player this coming season.
